My love of pets started at a very young age. I had always grown up with dogs and had a love for horses – always begging my parents for a horse or dog. After graduating from Central Connecticut State University with a Communication/ Marketing degree and a Division 1 Track and Field athlete, I found myself looking for a career. I decided to apply for a position at Petsmart in 2004. This is when my grooming career started. Under the guidance and expertise of Roseann Leah, I learned how to properly handle and care for many different breeds. I took over as Manager in 2008 and became a Petsmart Academy Instructor, teaching stylists from all over the Northeast the beginning skills of grooming.
In 2012 I decided to leave the corporate world and move to the private sector. I joined the Doggy Do’s team. Under the guidance of Dan Leahy, I learned even more about grooming and continued educating myself by attending seminars. At these seminars I became certified in Canine CPR, First Aid and Skin and Coat.
17 years in the grooming industry has now led me to pursue a dream of owning my own salon. CG Grooming Co. will provide pet and owners with a safe, healthy and positive grooming experience in a professional, stress-free environment.
I have a love for Sporting breeds, including Cavaliers and Bichons. I have taken classes to perfect the art of hand stripping and enjoy performing the rare skill for clients. When I’m not at the salon, I enjoy spending time with my family that includes my two kids and husband.
CG Grooming Co. is an all-breed dog grooming salon. We look forward to taking care of your pet(s). We are accepting new and returning customers!
